Tale as Old As Time

I’m sure you’ve heard, but Megan Moroney released a song last Friday called “6 Months Later”. In the chorus, she sings, “It’s a tale as old as time, I guess.” This line is a reference to Beauty and the Beast. Over the past 6 months, I’ve definitely experienced some beauty and some beasts.

Going to Branson, Missouri

Going to a Hudson Westbrook concert
Celebrating my cousin’s graduation & 18th birthday
Helping with my friend’s baby shower
Meeting her new baby

Spending time with my baby cousin
Turning 22
Receiving fun birthday surprises
Hanging out with a new friend
Going to Houston for a work training
Writing a devotional
Being on the radio
Being on my company’s podcast
Being a Kenz Kustomz brand ambassador
Winning a $5 photo shoot
Counseling
Scrapbooking
Watercoloring
Reading
Podcasting
New music

The Beasts:

Anxiety
Depression
Insomnia
Grief of unfulfilled dreams
Family drama
Friendship changes
Girl problems (covers a lot)
Work burnout

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life isn’t always fair, and it’s not always fun. Again, Megan said it best. It’s a tale as old as time, I guess.

Okay, well… what should you do next?

Keep going. Use this time of sorrow to sow seeds of strength. Just keep watching- Just In Case something good is around the corner. Take a page from Benson Boone’s book and don’t mind if it takes a million days. You know God will come around. His love is mystical and magical.
